Peace Sheep Update 2, and the Giveaway Winner!

Hello hello! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We, unfortunately, had a doctor's appointment for the Little One, and he had to get his two-month vaccinations. I can't believe he's already two months old! He absolutely broke my heart getting those shots, but he seems to be doing well - just a little fussiness, but no serious reactions, thank goodness.

So first off, I have the weekly update on the Little Sheep Virtues SAL:

This is Peace with 200 stitches done so far. I finished stitching the head of the sheep, then I moved on to the tree branch, then I started on some flowers. It's ADD stitching, basically!

All right, now onto the part everyone is here to find out: the winner of my 4th Blogoversary Giveaway. Here's a little reminder of what I'm giving away:

And the winner of all these goodies is...

Congratulations, Kerry! If you send me your address, I'll pop this into the post as soon as I can.

Lots of love,

Peace Sheep Update 1

Wow, it's been a while since I stitched on one of these cute little sheep! Now that things have more or less settled down into a routine, I asked Lija (Stitching in Crosses and More) if she wanted to start up our SAL again. We've decided that since she's got exams and I've got the baby, we'll take it a little easier and just try to do 100 stitches a week. So here's my start:

Not much to brag about, I know, but it took me forever just to get this bit done! This is Peace, from Little House Needleworks' Little Sheep Virtues series. I'm stitching this on 28 count Coffee Jobelan with DMC threads, like I did with the other sheep.

If anyone would like to join in this SAL, to stitch one sheep or all of them, please feel free. It's the most relaxed SAL ever, so you can follow along with Lija and I and our 100 stitches a week, or you can do your own thing!

The February Gifted Gorgeousness SAL

How is it already mid-February? I've been measuring time as feedings and naps, so it's been slipping away from me a bit. But it's February 15th already, which means it's time for the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL. This is Jo from Serendipitous Stitching's baby - we stitch on something that's been gifted to us through exchanges or giveaways, whether a pattern, kit, fabric, floss, whatever, and post on the 15th of the month.

For most of last year I was working on Prairie Schooler's Two By Two, gifted to me in an exchange with Emma from Emma's Bloglet a couple of years ago (you can see my last update here). I finished the ark last month and I've started working on the animals. Here's the first of them completed:

The camels are done! It's a good thing this is tiny - it made it easy to grab and put in a couple of stitches during the Little One's naps.

Here it is next to the ark, so you can get an idea of the size:

Happy xxx's!

A Quick Thank You!

Just a really short post to thank a couple of lovely ladies! I finally managed a trip to the post office last week and found two packages waiting for me:

First off, I'd won a giveaway on Jo's blog (Serendipitous Stitching) as part of the Gifted Gorgeousness SAL last year. She sent me a bunch of charts!

Secondly, I'd admired this felt owl on Ariadne's blog (Ariadne from Greece) and asked for the directions to make my own. In response, she made one for me and sent it along with some other goodies.

Thank you so much, ladies! This really brightened up my day. Baby's had a bit of a cold the last week or so, which just breaks my heart, but he's finally getting better.

Thanks for all the sweet comments!
